U2 sacude a Dublín. Bono y el grupo U2 emocionaron de manera excepcional a 80 mil admiradores en Dublín, dándole a su gira un nuevo nivel emocional al tocar en casa. Un impresionante rugido fue lo que los dublinenses parecieron regalar como bienvenida a la banda durante la primera de tres noches de conciertos en su ciudad natal el viernes por la noche en el Croke Park, el estadio más grande de Irlanda. La gira, denominada 360’ se moverá de Europa a América del Norte en septiembre. El guitarista de la banda, The Edge, dijo que el grupo siempre tomó en cuenta ese factor emocional que se produciría en su ciudad natal. Bono bromeó con que los conciertos previos en Barcelona, Milán, París, Berlín y Ámsterdam fueron simples ‘’ensayos’’ para lo verdadero: Dublín. Las actuaciones de U2 inyectarían un estimado de 71 millones de dólares a la economía de Irlanda, que actualmente está en recesión.

contribuirá con cinco
millones de euros a un fondo destinado a enseñar a jóvenes a
tocar un instrumento musical o a recibir clases de canto, anunció hoy su
guitarrista The Edge. "Desde hace tiempo hemos estado buscando maneras de
involucrarnos en Irlanda en una iniciativa relacionada con la educación
musical", declaró durante la presentación del proyecto el miembro
de la banda dublinesa.

"El impacto mediático y económico que ha tenido el hecho de que el grupo eligiera Barcelona para comenzar su gira ha sido importantísimo", señalaba Clos, quien no entendía que el asunto hubiera acabado con un expediente. "No estoy a favor de la anarquía, pero tampoco entiendo las quejas por sistema, como las que también está recibiendo el Tour por parte de vecinos que se quejan de los cortes de las calles. Hay cosas totalmente incoherentes y todos tenemos que ser conscientes de que nos jugamos mucho", decía ayer Clos. |
